1812 Gown Anatomy

This is a work in progress, for a Regency picnic in April. I wanted something different, so I chose a high neckline. The closure is based on this gown: http://www.19thus.com/WomensClothing/1800-1815GreySilkDress.html

Here's how it works!

Wow, great job! The high neckline looks very elegant, good job for trying something different! :-) I also like the gathering on the skirt.
I can't wait to see how it looks when it is done- this is such a beautiful style!

Indeed, high necklines are not see too often! What a lovely dress and thanks for sharing the "art of closure"!
Looking forward to seeing the dress done :)
